Ahmedabad: Gujarat’s renowned Ambaji Temple has become the latest major shrine to be embroiled in an alleged donation theft controversy, following similar cases reported at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, Uttarakhand’s Badrinath Temple, and Madhya Pradesh’s Baglamukhi Temple. A major development has surfaced in the donation theft case at the renowned Ambaji Temple. Exclusive CCTV footage accessed by Times Now Navbharat allegedly shows the prime accused, Chirag Thakor, hiding a bundle of cash under his foot before slipping it into his trousers during the donation counting process. The footage is from April 21, 2026, nearly two weeks before the theft was officially detected on May 7, 2026.
