The fishing trawler ‘Jai Maa Kali’ that was missing from the past 9 days, along with 15 fishermen onboard it, has finally been found. Reportedly, the overturned vessel was recovered off the West Bengal coast, with 9 fishermen confirmed dead, while the search for the remaining 6 is still on. Rescue teams fear that some victims may still be trapped inside the trawler as search operations continue. The ‘Jai Maa Kali’ fishing trawler had departed from Shankarpur Fishing Harbour on July 02. It was on a routine fishing expedition, when on July 05, all communication with the vessel got lost, triggering an extensive multi-agency search operation across the Bay of Bengal.
