“Questions are being raised about Siya, with people claiming that she was making an offensive finger gesture. That is simply not true. When the police brought her home for verification, two of her fingers got caught in the vehicle door. She has a bandage on one hand, and one of her fingers is badly swollen. Even her nails have turned blue. The way this is being portrayed on social media is completely wrong and unfortunate,” Siya’s father said in a video statement.
