The ongoing dispute surrounding the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has taken a dramatic turn after the Sports Ministry sent the federation a show-cause notice due to governance-related issues and the complaint from Manika Batra. A source close to the development told Times Now that one of the issues brought up in the notice is the accusations made by India’s star player Manika Batra, who has questioned the 2026 Asian Games selection process on several occasions. The government has asked the TTFI to explain why a senior athlete of Manika’s calibre needed to voice such concerns in public in the first place.
