America’s image reached its high point during Barack Obama’s presidency. In 2009, shortly after Obama entered the White House, US favourability among Indians climbed to a record 76%, while confidence in Obama stood at 77%. He continued to enjoy strong support throughout much of his presidency, including a 75% confidence rating in 2015.
