Rodriguez announced the militarisation of the area hit hardest by Wednesday’s double earthquake. “We have made the decision to militarise the state” of La Guaira, Rodriguez said during an official broadcast on Venezuelan public television. “Our Bolivarian Armed Forces are in the state to address this situation affecting our people,” she added.
