A simple late-night cab ride has captured the internet’s attention after a driver’s thoughtful gesture toward a young woman and her concerned brother left social media users deeply moved. The brief interaction, recorded on video, has been widely praised as an example of kindness and reassurance at a time when travel safety remains a common concern.
The viral clip was shared on X by Lakshay Mehta and shows a young woman preparing to travel from Delhi to Gurugram at night. As she got into the cab, her brother stood nearby, reminding her to keep him updated throughout the journey and expressing concern for her safety.
Seeing the exchange, the cab driver stepped in and offered reassurance to both siblings.
According to the caption accompanying the video, the driver told the brother, “Take a picture of my number and address; it’s written outside the car. She is my sister too.”
The woman responded warmly, saying, “Family worries. Thank you, bhaiya.”
The driver’s reply quickly became the highlight of the video. “Don’t worry. This is your brother’s cab. Aaram se baitho.”
He continued to reassure them, saying, “Mera address likha hua hai, photo le lo, koi dikkat nahi hai” (My address is written there, you can take a picture of it, there is no problem).
And then the cab driver told the woman’s brother, “Tumhara bhai YouTuber hai, chhoti behen ki tarah leke jaunga, koi tension na lo” (Your brother is a YouTuber; I will take her as if she were my younger sister, so don’t worry).
The driver concluded by saying, “Bina tension ke baitho, socho ke apne bhai ke gaadi mein jaa rahe ho” (Sit comfortably without any tension. Think of it as travelling in your own brother’s car).
