Joint multi-location searches conducted across Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Chandel and Pherzawl districts led to the arrests. According to officials, the action was based on evidence indicating the accused persons’ involvement in the violent unrest that has gripped the northeastern state.
