US Forces Lift Blockade On All Maritime Traffic Entering Strait of Hormuz: CENTCOM

The United States Central Command – CENTCOM – on Thursday announced that they have lifted the blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports and coastal areas in accordance with the President’s direction. The development has come ahead of the signing of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), mutually agreed between the two countries, to halt the fighting in the Gulf and Middle East, for a period of 60 days. During this time period, the two sides will implement measures discussed and further carry on discussions on Iran’s nuclear program, uranium reserves, Iranian frozen assets, among other issues.
