Garza said her husband joined the rescue effort as bystanders worked against time and the growing fire. Soon afterwards, the aircraft’s door opened and several occupants emerged from the wreckage. According to Garza, three individuals who appeared to be teenagers escaped first, followed by a person believed to be the pilot. Another crew member was then seen helping an apparently unconscious individual from the aircraft.
