In a statement posted on X, Baghaei cited information provided by a local member of parliament and alleged that American missiles hit a sports hall where civilians had gathered. “The attack slaughtered 24 persons, including a 2-year-old girl, several teenage volleyball players, and other women and men,” Baghaei wrote. He added that those responsible for ordering and carrying out the strike should be held accountable under international law.
