June 15 was a big day for India’s aviation industry. The Noida International Airport in Gautam Budh Nagar’s Jewar, commenced its operations earlier in the day. The first flight to land in the ambitious aviation hub – IndiGo – touched down at 7:55 AM sharp, 10 minutes ahead of schedule. The industrialists, 70-plus employees, actress and aviation enthusiast Gul Panag, and others, sponsored by the Noida-based CRC Group aboard the flight, were greeted with a grand water cannon salute to mark the historic moment.
