Sunny Deol took to his X handle, in which he penned a sweet note for fans as Tara Singh. For the unversed, he played the role of Tara Singh, a truck driver from Punjab, who rescues a Pakistani girl, Sakina played by Ameesha Patel, amid the war during Partition 1947. They eventually fall in love and get married. After several years, things change after Sakina finds out that her parents are alive and safe in Pakistan. She goes to meet them after taking Tara’s permission. Once she reaches Pakistan, her father, played by Amrish Puri, doesn’t allow her to go back to India to be with Tara Singh and their son, Charanjeet.
