During the news conference, Netanyahu also defended Israel’s wars with Iran, and said that they had managed to remove an immediate and existential threat posed by Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. When asked about his comments on the new deal, Netanyahu said that while he and President Trump often agreed, they had not always “seen eye to eye” as he pressed Israel’s interests.
