Actor Prakash Raj joined the protest in Bengaluru and expressed support for the campaign. Several youth groups and organisations also participated in the demonstration, which continued despite intermittent rainfall throughout the day. Organisers said the protest was part of a wider nationwide campaign that had earlier seen similar demonstrations in New Delhi.
