Ahilya was asked if directors, writers and producers need to rethink the portrayal of women in film. To this, the Sing Geetham actress said, “I think what’s important is that for every writer to have like a nice balance of people who are writing. So I think when a script is written by people for a general audience, then it means that there need to be women, men, young women, young men, older women, like people of all ages in a writing room so that you can write something that feels universal.”
