When Chiyaan 63 was announced last month, a promo video introduced Vikram as a chef targeted by a gang, later revealing through voiceover that he also has a gangster angle. Anand Shankar has written the film, with dialogues by Shan Karuppusamy. The film will feature music by Santhosh Narayanan, who last worked with Vikram on Karthik Subbaraj’s Mahaan in 2022. The technical crew includes cinematographer RD Rajasekar ISC, editor Raymond Derrick Crasta, production designer Rajeevan, and art director Surya Rajeevan. Produced by TG Thyagarajan under Sathya Jyothi Films, along with Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan, the film also has G. Saravanan and Sai Siddharth as co-producers.
