The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to release the provisional answer key and response sheets for the Constable General Duty (GD) examination by the end of this week or next week. However, an official confirmation is still awaited. Once released, candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to check and download them from the official website: ssc.gov.in.
According to the official schedule, SSC GD was held from April 27 to May 30, 2026, to fill 25,487 vacancies in various central armed police forces and security organisations, including the CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB, SSF and Assam Rifles.
Of the total vacancies, 23,467 posts have been reserved for male candidates, while 2,020 positions are earmarked for female candidates.
How to Check SSC GD Answer Key 2026
Follow the steps below to access it:
- Visit the official website: ssc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, look for the answer key link and click on it.
- Enter the login credentials (if required) and click on the Submit button.
- The SSC GD answer key 2026 will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and save it for future reference.
What’s Next?
Following the release, candidates will be able to verify the correct answers and calculate probable scores based on the provisional answer key and marking scheme. In case of errors, they are free to report them to the concerned authorities.
Later on, the commission will issue a revised answer key, based on which the SSC GD results 2026 will be declared. Notably, the SSC GD revised answer key will be final and cannot be challenged further.
As per the marking criteria set by the authorities, candidates will receive +2 marks for each correct response, while a deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each incorrect response. Zero marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
