India will be without the services of Virat Kohli for the ODI series against Afghanistan, starting June 13. The former India captain suffered an injury during the IPL 2026 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT). Kohli, who played a match-winning knock of 75 in the final, suffered an injury at the end of his knock and was struggling to run. He was later ruled out of the series. India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced Kohli’s replacement on Saturday (June 6). Yashasvi Jaiswal has been added to the team as Kohli’s replacement.
