According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the family had been travelling to visit relatives when the shooting occurred. The baby’s father, Fahd Abu Haikal, a lecturer at Bethlehem University, said a bullet passed through the vehicle’s windshield, struck his right hand and then hit his son and wife, who were seated in the back. “A bullet pierced the child’s face from the right side and exited from the left side,” he said. “He was the entire world.”
