“He didn’t look that extraordinary,” Ojha said about Sooryavanshi’s early days at his academy. “After a year and a half or two years of practice, we started to see that Vaibhav has extraordinary potential. His potential is next level. Whether it’s his shot execution, or his batting skill set, or his performance in matches, or his intent, or the way he used to play during practice. He used to smash balls. He was way ahead of other kids. He liked to attack from an early age. We started to see these qualities. We didn’t expect that Vaibhav would reach this level so soon. But it was certain that Vaibhav would become a big player. Vaibhav would do something big in cricket. This was clear from his batting,” Ojha told Sports Now.
