A decade after the case, Shilpa confessed on the podcast that she filed a false sexual harassment case against Sanjay because she had no other ‘option’. According to the actress, she had to level a fake allegation due to a dispute over payments. Soon after Shilpa’s confession went viral, Hina Khan slammed the actress. On Instagram, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star addressed the Prime Minister of India, the President of India and the Law Minister and wrote, “Kindly release all the criminals who have confessed their crimes after committing them.” She added that criminals like that should be pardoned ‘because they have courage, because they are fighters, because they stand with truth, and also because nobody supported them when they committed the crime.’ Hina and Shilpa have been at loggerheads since Bigg Boss 11.
