More than a state of indifference, apathy is an epidemic that all of us suffer from. It has infected governments and citizens alike. In many ways, it seems embedded in our collective DNA. Apathy is the real silent killer slowly spreading through the system like cancer. But while cancer often reveals itself through symptoms, apathy remains hidden in plain sight, accumulating quietly until tragedy strikes and there is no treatment left.
