Other Airlines Are Feeling the Squeeze Too
American Airlines is not the only carrier making adjustments. Delta Airlines raised its baggage fees, pointing to what it described as evolving global conditions. European carriers have also taken action, with both KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Lufthansa announcing route cuts of their own in response to the same fuel cost pressures.
