In the recent clinical trial, 157 patients with Stage 3 melanoma participated. All patients underwent surgery and received pembrolizumab (Keytruda), a widely used immunotherapy drug. However, 107 of those patients also received a personalized mRNA vaccine specifically designed using genetic material from their tumours.
