Written, directed and edited by Curry Barker in his theatrical directorial debut, Obsession is a supernatural psychological horror film that revolves around Bear, a shy music store employee played by Michael Johnston. The story takes a dark turn when Bear acquires a mysterious supernatural toy capable of granting wishes. Hoping to win the affection of his childhood friend and co-worker Nikki, portrayed by Inde Navarrette, Bear uses the toy to make his dream come true. However, the wish unleashes terrifying consequences, sending the narrative into increasingly disturbing territory. The film also stars Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless and Andy Richter in important supporting roles.
