Earlier in the day, absconding TMC leader and former Transport Minister Dilip Mondal was arrested. Reportedly, Mondal was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police during a raid at the Blue Lily Hotel in Puri, Odisha. Mondal was absconding for the past several weeks. As per the hotel manager, Mondal checked into the hotel at around 10 PM on Monday, May 25, after providing all his identity and personal details. As per the hotel authorities, he had checked into Room No. 2132, along with one of his friends.
