Leader of the banned militant organisation Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), Haobijam Dilip Singh, was arrested in Delhi during a joint operation carried out by the Delhi Police Special Cell, Manipur Police, and central intelligence agencies. Officials said Singh had travelled to the national capital to hold a clandestine meeting.
Following his interrogation, security agencies recovered a major cache of arms and ammunition in Manipur’s Kakching district. The recovered items included a substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition, bags of various colours, a tarpaulin sheet, plastic bags, and a Redmi 13C mobile phone.
Police said more than 12 cases under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) are registered against Singh.
