What is the Ebola Virus Disease?
Ebola virus disease (EVD) is a severe and potentially fatal illness caused by infection with viruses from the Ebola family. It spreads through direct contact with infected blood, bodily fluids, or contaminated surfaces. Early symptoms often include fever, severe headache, muscle pain, fatigue, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhoea, and, in severe cases, internal bleeding.
