Babita Phogat, a Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning wrestler, welcomed the Delhi High Court’s decision to allow Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat to participate in the Asian Games 2026 selection trials scheduled for May 30 and 31. Delhi HC’s decision comes after the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) declared Vinesh ineligible for domestic wrestling. Phogat, a former wrestler herself, said the Delhi High Court’s decision was correct and welcomed it.
