Across pickleball tournaments in India, a new generation of young women is beginning to change the sport’s identity. Teenage girls are no longer entering competitions simply for exposure or experience. They are arriving as serious athletes, travelling across the country, competing internationally and learning professional habits at an early age. A few years ago, most Indian pickleball tournaments were dominated by recreational adults and former tennis players. Today, junior girls are becoming some of the sport’s fastest-rising competitors, growing alongside India’s rapidly expanding pickleball ecosystem.
