The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for submission of online application forms for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 examination. Candidates who wanted to apply for the exam but were unable to do so, now have time till May 23, 2026 (Saturday) to apply for the eligibility test. Interested candidates will have the opportunity to apply for the exam till Saturday through the official website of UGC NET, i.e. ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Candidates will have to first register at the official website to be able to fill in the online application form.
How to Apply for UGC NET June 2026
Step 1: Go to the official website of NTA at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the “UGC NET June 2026 Registration” visible on the homepage.
Step 3: Click on the “sign up” button.
Step 4: Generate OTP by entering your mobile number and then input the otp.
Step 5: Then, fill your personal details, such as identity proof, name, date of birth, gender, username and password.
Step 6: Then click on the “Verify” button and select your identity type selected earlier.
Step 7: Click on allow and your DigiLocker verification will be completed.
Step 8: Then you can login using the username and password.
Step 9: Enter your personal details and upload the required documents.
Step 10: Pay the application fee and the application form will be visible on the screen.
Step 11: Take a printout of the application form for further reference.

UGC-NET 2026 June sessions will be conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, in Computer-Based Test Mode. The examination duration is 180 minutes, which is three hours.
