Iran War Deaths and Injuries Climb as Pentagon Quietly Revises Data

On Saturday, the Pentagon revised its war casualty database, adding more than 140 previously unreported wounded troops and reinstating four soldiers killed by Iranian strikes last weekend, deaths that had briefly vanished from the record. Alongside these changes, the Defense Casualty Analysis System, known as DCAS, introduced an entirely new tracking category labeled Overseas Operations, covering casualties dating back to July 7.
