A businessman has alleged he received a voice note purportedly from a foreign-based gangster, Goldy Brar, demanding Rs 5 crore as extortion, following which police have registered a case and launched an investigation, officials said on Sunday.
According to police sources, the complainant, who owns a restaurant in the Punjabi Bagh area, approached the local police station. The complainant alleged that the caller identified himself as Goldy Brar, demanded ₹5 crore, and warned of serious consequences if the money was not paid.
