The opposition claims the government should not have invited the 20 rebel MPs as a separate political group because their legal status is still unresolved. Speaking after the meeting, TMC MP Mahua Moitra said all major Opposition parties, including the Congress, Samajwadi Party, DMK, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), National Conference, Left parties and Shiv Sena (UBT), walked out together as a mark of protest.
