The Indian Navy is set to commission INS Mahendragiri, its sixth Project 17A indigenous stealth frigate, at Visakhapatnam on July 11, adding another modern surface combatant to its expanding fleet. Bearing pennant number F38, the frigate was designed in India by the Navy’s Warship Design Bureau and built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited in Mumbai.
