The victim, identified as Poonam Mittal, wife of local businessman Sanjay Mittal, was found with her throat slit at her residence in Ambheta under Nakur police station limits. Police suspect the murder may have taken place during a robbery attempt, as jewellery was reportedly missing and an almirah inside the house was found open.
