Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has secured a place in the city’s mayoral runoff election and appears increasingly likely to face Republican challenger Spencer Pratt in the general election, according to the latest vote count. With 63.1% of the expected vote reported, Bass leads the field with 172,720 votes (34.8%). Pratt is running second with 151,149 votes (30.4%), while City Council member Nithya Raman trails in third place with 110,848 votes (22.3%).
