Earlier, anti money laundering probe agency had arrested Partha Chatterjee, former West Bengal’s Minister In charge of the Education Department, in the primary teachers recruitment Scam in July 2022, in which he got conditional bail in 2025 from the Supreme Court. The probe agency has multiple cases against Chatterjee with respect to recruitment of primary teachers, SSC assistant teachers, and SSC Group C and D staff.
