About 3,000 athletes from 74 countries will compete in 13 categories, including parasports, at the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2026, which are scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 23. The Indian contingent consists of 126 athlete will be competing for medals across all sports disciplines. 48 female athletes and 77 male athletes from India will be participating in the games. The 23rd edition of the tournament is only two days away. There can be less enthusiasm and excitement surrounding the multisport competition because there are only 10 sports that will be featured at CWG 2026 in Glasgow, despite the fact that sports organisations are pushing for an increasing number of sports to be included in the CWG, Asian Games, Olympics, and similar events.
