This marks the seventh time that Antil has broken the world record in his career. He has been the world record holder since 2019, when he registered a throw of 61.32 m in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Italy. Later, he set the world record three times while winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021 with throws of 66.95 m, 66.08 m, and 62.88 m. Later that year, he again broke the world record with a throw of 68.62m at the Indian Open.
