Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, on Monday, appealed to the protesters to resolve their grievances through dialogue and trust, saying they have raised their voice in a peaceful manner, which is their right in a democracy, and it’s the government’s responsibility to respect their opinion. Soren made this statement in an X post, on a day when police resorted to lathi charge, tear gas, and water cannons, in order to control the crowd as agitators launched a march to Vidhan Sabha, to make the government hear their demands.
