Oppn Lists New Demands Including PM Modi's Apology on Ram Mandir Theft Case As Centre Agrees to Amit Shah's Statement

The Centre on Monday offered to hold a discussion on student protests in the Lok Sabha, with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju saying in the House that Home Minister Amit Shah would respond to the debate, in order to end the logjam that has almost washed out the entire monsoon session. The Opposition has been demanding a statement from Amit Shah in the House, since the beginning of the session, on alleged brutal force unleashed by Delhi Police during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led students protest in the national capital in which several students were injured, use of brute force such as baton charge, tear gas, and allegedly pellet gun. It also demanded a statement from the government on the Ram Mandir donation theft incident, NEET UG paper leak, and alleged irregularities in the education system. The Opposition had been saying that the House would only function if Home Minister addresses these issues, while blaming the treasury bench for the logjam.
