Virat Kohli led India on a three-Test series visit to Sri Lanka in July and August of 2017. After winning the toss, Kohli chose to bat first. Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara, the opener, went on to register hundreds after Abhinav Mukund was out early. Dhawan was ten runs short of his ton. He scored 190 runs, including 31 fours, in 168 deliveries. Pujara scored 153 runs off 265 balls while batting in the conventional manner. One of Nuwan Pradeep’s six victims, Kohli was removed cheaply. India scored 600 thanks to cameos from Ajinkya Rahane, Hardik Pandya, Ravichandran Ashwin, and others.
