sony launches 115-inch bravia 9ii tv in india, expands true rgb bravia lineup

Japanese tech giant Sony on Monday launched its flagship BRAVIA 9II lineup in India, including the 115-inch model — the largest BRAVIA television ever introduced by the brand. With the launch, Sony’s True RGB BRAVIA lineup now ranges from 55-inch (140 cm) to 115-inch (292 cm).

According to the company, the BRAVIA 7II series is available in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch models, while the BRAVIA 9II lineup includes 75-inch, 85-inch and the new 115-inch variant.

Sony said it wants to offer a more cinema-like viewing experience for movies, gaming and live sports as demand for larger televisions continues to grow.

The BRAVIA 9II and BRAVIA 7II televisions will be available through Sony Centre, Sony Exclusive stores, ShopatSC.com, leading electronics retailers and major e-commerce platforms across India.

The 75-inch and 85-inch BRAVIA 9II models are already on sale at best buy prices of Rs 5,39,990 and Rs 6,69,990, respectively, while the new 115-inch model, priced at Rs 28,99,990 (best buy), will be available soon.

The BRAVIA 7II series starts at Rs 2,21,990 for the 55-inch model, while the 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch variants are priced at Rs 2,74,990, Rs 4,19,990 and Rs 5,29,990, respectively.

“With a complete True RGB portfolio spanning 55 (140 cm) to 115 (292 cm), Sony continues to redefine premium home entertainment by delivering authentic cinematic experiences across every screen size while setting new benchmarks in premium large-screen entertainment,” Sunil Nayyar, Managing Director, Sony India, said in a statement.

Sony said its True RGB BRAVIA televisions are powered by the company’s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro technology, which independently controls red, green and blue LEDs to deliver a wider colour range, higher contrast and more lifelike picture quality.

The TVs also feature X-Wide Angle Pro, which claims to maintain accurate colours and consistent picture quality even when viewed from different angles.

The lineup also includes Luminance Booster Pro to improve brightness while preserving colour accuracy, and Smooth Colour Gradation to reduce colour banding for more natural-looking visuals.

The BRAVIA 9II series, except for the 115-inch model, also comes with Immersive Black Screen Pro, a low-reflection display treatment that enhances black levels and improves visibility in dark scenes.

For audio, the new 115-inch BRAVIA 9II features Acoustic Multi-Audio+ with a 12-speaker setup, including two subwoofers, eight full-range speakers and two tweeters.

The Japanese company said the system will deliver immersive sound with clearer dialogue. The new BRAVIA televisions run on Google TV, offering access to movies, TV shows, apps and games in one interface.

Sony also confirmed that Gemini for Google TV will be added through a future over-the-air software update, bringing AI-powered voice interactions to the TVs.
