India’s campaign at CWG 2026
India had a great run at the Commonwealth Games. They won 39 medals, including golds, 17 silvers and nine bronze medals. The highlight of the Indian campaign was the stunning show by the boxing contingent, who won 10 medals, including seven golds and three silvers, the best-ever performance. India also won the first-ever CWG medal in Judo, with Asmita Dey winning a gold. Similarly, Tejaswin Shankar won a bronze medal in decathlon, the first for India, despite a knee injury at the start of the games that saw him miss the high jump final.
