The closed-door meeting between Trump and Zelensky marked their second face-to-face discussion this month and came ahead of the funeral of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a prominent supporter of Ukraine. Graham’s final public effort before his death was to help secure a sanctions package aimed at countries purchasing Russian oil, gas and other exports.
