RML Recalls 10 Drug Batches After Quality Checks Flag Defects

In the final notice dated September 14, RML’s oral and topical drug unit marked three tablet batches as having failed analytical testing, leading to them being labelled ‘Not of Standard Quality’: these are namely, the sodium valproate gastro-resistant 200mg, spironolactone 50mg and imipramine 25mg. The very same day, the establishment’s injectable drug unit issued an urgent recall for as many as 5 batches of injectable medicines, after they too failed analytical testing, leading them to the NSQ label; these medicines were adenosine, methyl ergometrine, multivitamin injection, pheniramine maleate and ascorbic acid.
