Later, the Emirates issued a statement saying, “Flight EK31, travelling from Dubai to London Heathrow, was diverted to Frankfurt on October 1 due to a medical emergency involving a passenger onboard, the airline said. Emirates said its cabin crew provided assistance during the flight, while medical support was arranged after the aircraft landed safely in Frankfurt. The passenger disembarked to receive further medical attention. The flight was expected to resume its journey to London Heathrow at around 18:00 local time in Frankfurt, with Emirates apologising to passengers for the delay and reiterating that the health and safety of passengers and crew remains its highest priority”.
