US President Donald Trump on Saturday attended a major college football game in Tennessee, with Air Force One making a flyover of the stadium shortly before kick-off. The aircraft flew over Neyland Stadium in Knoxville about 40 minutes before the start of the match between top-ranked Texas and No 13 Tennessee.
Trump was shown on the stadium’s video board shortly after midday local time.
The president’s reason for attending the game has not been made clear. The match is regarded as one of the biggest regular-season fixtures in US college football.

Trump has attended college football games before, including the national championship game in Miami Gardens, Florida, in January. He won Tennessee by about 30 percentage points in the 2024 presidential election.
